Other Field Crops (OFC) Research

As part of our continuous commitment to scientific innovation and sustainable crop nutrition, Kangara Holdings (Pvt) Ltd is conducting ongoing research on the performance of ECO VITA Corn, our specialized liquid fertilizer formulation designed for other field crops.

This research is being carried out in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture at the Angunakolapelessa, Thirunelvely, and Mahailuppallama Research Centres, covering Sri Lanka’s dry and intermediate agro-ecological zones. These sites represent diverse soil types and climatic conditions, providing valuable insights into the product’s adaptability and consistency across different regions.

The key objectives of this study are to evaluate the nutrient use efficiency, crop growth parameters, yield response, and soil fertility improvements resulting from the application of ECO VITA Corn. The trials also aim to assess the potential of ECO VITA to reduce the dependence on synthetic chemical fertilizers while maintaining or increasing crop productivity and profitability for farmers.

Preliminary field observations have indicated that ECO VITA Corn supports vigorous plant establishment, promotes stronger root development, and enhances the overall physiological performance of maize crops, leading to improved grain filling and yield potential. Moreover, the formulation contributes to the enhancement of beneficial soil microbial activity, which plays a critical role in maintaining soil health and long-term fertility.

Through this ongoing research programme, Kangara Holdings (Pvt) Ltd continues to reinforce its commitment to advancing eco-friendly plant nutrition solutions that align with national goals for sustainable agriculture and environmental protection.
